Embrion - the Triple bottom line company
Embrion places a high value on its role as an ethical and responsible business. We operate a triple bottom line to our business. We measure ourselves against three goals, each of equal importance: profit, people and planet.
While we are a profit making company we recognise we have a duty to minimise the impact we make on the planet. We aim to minimise our use of world resources whether these are fossil fuels used in travel, or equipment and technology we use. Specifically we commit to recycling all items which are recyclable, even when the short term cost to us is higher than disposing of these through landfill or similar short term solutions.
We are unique as the only consulting company committed to One for One. For each one day of full fee consulting, we aim to deliver one day of pro-bono consulting in the UK or fund one day charitable work in the developing world through our charity partners . We have been working to raise our level of contribution each year. For 2017’s we are aiming to continue to grow our commitment towards fully achieving 'One for One'.
In specific terms we support a number of charities :
- The Railway Children: A charity supporting run away and abandoned children in the UK and the developing world.
- Salvation Army: A Christian charity working in the UK with homeless and low income households.
- World Vision: A Evangelical Christian humanitarian aid charity which focuses on development, and advocacy in the developing world.
- Combat Stress: A UK charity specialising in the treatment and support of British Armed Forces Veterans who have mental health problems.
